What is the Color Category?
First – yes, White Heron OC-57 Â is the same paint color formula as Oxford White 869 – AND – Oxford White CC-30.
IT’S WHITE – because of its Value of 9.31 and Chroma of 0.36. It’s all about Chroma when it comes to colors of white. Lower Chroma numbers means the color is closer to being truly neutral, no color. However, Value also matters because a Value of 9.31 tells us Oxford isn’t at the max Value of 10 which is a pure white. So a Value of 9.31 and being from the Green-Yellow hue family, means there could be a sense of unexpected colorfulness in the color of white. Lighting and context will make a difference in how it actually shows up.
Again, White Heron is the same color as Oxford White , so if you were considering both (for some reason) you do not need to order samples of both – just one or the other.
Here’s the link for White Heron; I recommend Samplize Peel & Stick Samples because they’re made with real paint.
