What is the Color Category?
WHITE – because of its Value of 9.25 and Chroma of 0.52. Now, keep in mind with a Chroma of 0.52 it’s pushing the boundary of white teetering on the edge towards an off-white. So Atrium is going to have more color than Extra White, for example.
But the good news is, that extra bump of Chroma means it will work nicely with more neutral colors of white like Extra White and Chantilly Lace.
So, Atrium White is an amazing option if you’re looking for a barely-there wall color that will contrast nicely with a cleaner color of white on trim, doors and cabinets.
However, be aware that it could flash purple or pink. This is because of its hue family. In a balanced quality of light it’s going to show up as a very light greige kind of color.
It’s always best to test. I recommend Samplize Peel & Stick samples.
How do we know all this? Because we have hue, value, chroma and LRV color notations that describe what colors look like. So, we can easily sort and categorize paint colors:

can I paint semi gloss atrium white on bricks around fire place that has a fireplace insert that is use? What is paints rating?
Hi Shelly,
No, you should not use regular house paint on brick or any kind of masonry. You should use a mineral paint like Romabio. I recommend Romabio’s color named Avorio because it’s similar to Ben Moore’s White Dove. It’s a warm, creamy(ish) off-white. It’s pretty and will work with a lot of other colors. Here’s my affiliate link for a 2.5 Liter (0.67 Gallon) size container. Should be enough for a normal sized fireplace surround. Get two if the brick goes all the way to the ceiling:
