Spanish Style Color Scheme Help Please
Hello I am trying to choose colors for them house exterior. I like Santa Barbara & CA Spanish style. I live in So CA where the summers are bright, hot and dry.
I have narrowed the stucco colors to
BM: Sea Pearl
I tried SW snowbound, was too white, BM Pale Oak looked kind of purple.
I am stuck on colors for the trim and colors for pop outs. I like SW Urbane bronze and Black bean for the trim with Alabaster but not sure what colors to choose for Sea Pearl. I think the pop outs should be a shade lighter. I like rich brown but not sure it will look right with sea pearl. Any suggestions would be appreciated. There is wrought iron gate that is hard to see in the picture, it is black. Roof is a terracotta.
Alabaster is a very versatile color and it seems like you'd have more options if you go with Alabaster.
Thank you Donna.
Base on the Color DNA table this is what I am looking at:
Body SW Alabaster 100° Hue: 5.28y Value 9.20 Chroma 0.66 LRV 82
Popout SW Intellectual Gray 93° Hue: 3.37y Value 6.66 Chroma 1.10 LRV 36
Trim SW Urbane Bronze 86° Hue 3.09y Value 3.84 Chroma 0.45 LRV 8
Trim SW Black Bean 40° Hue 1.40 yr Value 3.07 Chroma 0.78 LRV 30
The Hue° is all in the same range sort of, except for Black Bean. Since Black Bean is YR is the Hue* a factor? I have sample of Urbane Bronze. It looks like it has green undertones to me not sure why. Hue of all colors are close except for the Black Bean. The Chroma of Black Bean is very close to Alabaster. I don’t know if it is a factor since is YR, it is still yellow family. The sample I painted of black bean looks dark brown but kind of reddish. To my eye the Urbane Bronze and the Black Bean both look good with Alabaster I prefer to use a rich dark brown for the trim. I welcome any suggestions. Trying to avoid a mistake.
Still trying to figure out colors that will go with Sea Pearl.
