Hi- love your posts and knowledge of paint colors!  And I would so appreciate your help! We're trying to decide what to use for our trim and deck railings / stairs for our mountain lake cabin.  We used PPG Glidden Krimson Lake Blue for the body of the house and love it.  It almost looks teal during some parts of the day.  You can see from the pic that it was yellow.  And we stained the middle deck a pecan color.  I've gone back and forth about trim colors.  My first thought was to make it PPG Onyx (which you can see in the top right railing), but my husband isn't a fan.  He says "its not cheery". 🙂  I wanted the railings to "disappear" so that the main deck pops.  But if we keep it white, would you recommend PPG Delicate White, PPG Pure White, or PPG White on White?  Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

No, not weird at all.

My instinct with color placement is always how can we edit, simplify and make a room or facade easier to read.

And it works out for you because you want to highlight the newly pecan stained deck. Painting everything in Krimson Lake Blue will do both.

Edit and simplify the facade and highlight the main deck. Plus the darker blue will hide dirt a lot better than the white.
