Hello Lori, I just learned a ton on your blog about cutting color. Thank you for the education. I am in the middle of a remodel project after the freeze in Texas this year. I’m having to redo my pool house. There is lots of wood trim and painted cabinets in this location adjacent to my main house. The trim and cabinet wood color is Benjamin Moore Shelburne Buff, the walls were Benjamin Moore Pittsfield Buff and the ceiling was Benjamin Moore Powell Buff. I just decided to experiment in updating these colors, even though I wasn’t necessarily tired of them, by using the pool house as my experimentation project. I did not want to change the color of the wood trim, as I still really like the Shelburne Buff. I landed on Sherwin-Williams Spanish Olive, but it did not go with the Benjamin Moore Powell Buff ceiling, I finally decided to experiment with Sherwin-Williams white cloud for the ceiling, even though I’m not a fan of white ceilings. I’m trying to decide now if I like it well enough to pull it into the main house. Any advice that you can give me or if I could schedule a color consult with you, I would be very grateful. Thank you for your time.
Melani Lindsey
