Open the Color DNA StudioThe renotation data is defined under Illuminant C / 2°, so your reading is chromatically adapted to C before the notation is found. A Lab triplet is tristimulus-only: adapting a 10° reading corrects the white point but cannot transform the observer, so 10° results land very close to their 2° counterparts. The illuminant is the axis that moves the notation, not the observer. Results are rounded to 0.1. Instruments measure with different geometry, so a Nix or Color Muse reading can land a little away from a CI6x reading of the same paint.
